About Scouting<\/strong>
\nIn Cub Scouting, you\u2019ll have lots of fun, adventure, and activities with your den and pack. But there\u2019s more to it than that. Being a Cub Scout means you are a member of a worldwide youth movement that stands for certain values and beliefs. Cub Scouting is more than something to do. It\u2019s all about the kid you are and the person you will become. Join our Pack<\/a><\/p>\n

Since 1930, the Boy Scouts of America has helped younger boys through Cub Scouting. It is a year-round family program designed for boys who are in the first grade through fifth grade (or 7, 8, 9, and 10 years of age). Parents, leaders, and organizations work together to achieve the purposes of Cub Scouting. Currently, Cub Scouting is the largest of the BSA\u2019s three membership divisions. (The others are Boy Scouting and Venturing.)

\nThe ten purposes of Cub Scouting are:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Character Development
    \nSpiritual Growth
    \nGood Citizenship
    \nSportsmanship and Fitness
    \nFamily Understanding
    \nRespectful Relationships
    \nPersonal Achievement
    \nFriendly Service
    \nFun and Adventure
    \nPreparation for Boy Scouts<\/ol>\n

    Cub Scout dens<\/strong>
    \nA den is a group of six to eight boys, within the pack, that typically meets twice a month in addition to the monthly Pack meeting. The boys in a den are usually all at the same grade level and likely attend the same school. The den structure allows boys to build relationships with leaders and other boys and provides opportunities for activities that would be difficult with a large group. Scout Dens meet twice a month (Lions meet once) plus attend the Pack Meeting at the end of the month. <\/p>\n

  1. Lions \u2013 Kindergarten (parents must attend all meetings with their Lions)<\/li>\n
  2. Tigers \u2013 1st Grade (parents must attend all meetings with their Tigers)<\/li>\n
  3. Wolves \u2013 2nd Grade<\/li>\n
  4. Bears \u2013 3rd Grade<\/li>\n
  5. Webelos 1st Year \u2013 4th Grade<\/li>\n
  6. Webelos 2nd Year \u2013 5th Grade<\/li>\n

    Pack Leadership<\/strong>
    \nThe dedication and commitment of our Pack Committee, Cubmaster, and Den Leaders enables us to have an outstanding program to offer. They spend hours planning for den meetings, pack meetings, camping, and special events.
